Pistons 115, Hawks 107: Greg Monroe had 22 points and 15 rebounds as Detroit handed visiting Atlanta its eighth consecutive loss.

Monroe was one of four Pistons to record double-doubles as Detroit halted a three-game skid. Andre Drummond had 20 points and 11 rebounds, Josh Smith racked up 17 points and 10 boards and Brandon Jennings finished with 12 points and 14 assists.

Paul Millsap's 23 points paced the Hawks, who have lost eight in a row for the first time since the 2006-07 season. Shelvin Mack had 21 points and six assists starting in place of the injured Jeff Teague (ankle) while Mike Scott added 20 points in a reserve role.

Atlanta held a three-point lead after a tightly-contested opening quarter, but broke things open with 41 points in the second. The Hawks knocked down 13 consecutive field-goal attempts in a span of just over eight minutes, turning a one-possession game into a 63-52 edge at the break.

Detroit made quick work of the deficit, pulling even on three Jennings free throws just past the midway point of the third quarter and finishing the frame on a 12-4 run - fueled by a Monroe dunk - to carry an 86-83 lead into the fourth. Atlanta pulled even four different times in the deciding quarter - the last coming on two Millsap free throws with 2:38 left - but Kyle Singler countered with a 3-pointer, Will Bynum hit a layup as part of a three-point play and Detroit held on from there.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Singler added 20 points on the strength of four 3-pointers. ... Drummond went 10-of-11 from the field but missed all eight of his free-throw attempts, part of a 13-for-29 showing from the Pistons at the foul line. ... Detroit outscored Atlanta 66-34 in the paint.
