Raptors 103, Wizards 93: Kyle Lowry racked up 24 points and 10 assists as visiting Toronto held off Washington for its third straight win.

Lowry led a balanced attack for the Raptors, who improved to a season-best five games over .500. DeMar DeRozan, Greivis Vasquez and Amir Johnson added 14 points apiece while Patrick Patterson and Jonas Valanciunas each had 10.

John Wall scored 19 of his 22 points in the first half for the Wizards, who have dropped five of six. Marcin Gortat had 18 points and 11 rebounds while Nene added 17 points in defeat.

Both teams shot better than 56 percent in the opening half, but the Raptors took advantage of a 24-8 scoring advantage from its reserves to open up a 55-49 halftime lead. A Johnson layup on Lowry's ninth assist of the night stretched the lead to double digits just past the midway point of the third quarter, and Lowry followed with nine points in a span of just over three minutes to help send Toronto into the fourth ahead 84-70.

Back-to-back 3-pointers from John Salmons and Vasquez made it 90-72 in the opening minutes of the final quarter, and Vasquez added another long-range shot on the ensuing possession to stretch the lead to 19. Washington responded with a 15-1 run to trim the deficit to six with 1:31 remaining, but Lowry knocked down a pair of free throws before forcing a turnover at the other end and drilling two more foul shots to put the game away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wizards fell to 0-5 when playing on three or more days of rest. ... Toronto improved to 23-12 since dealing Rudy Gay to the Sacramento Kings in December - the third-best record in the East over that span. ... Toronto won the points in the paint battle 60-48 but was outrebounded 40-29.
