Magic 112, Pistons 98: Rookie Victor Oladipo recorded 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting and Glen Davis scored 18 to lead a balanced effort as Orlando rolled over visiting Detroit.

Maurice Harkless collected 15 points and nine rebounds while Arron Afflalo had 15 points and seven assists as the Magic improved to 4-1 in their last five at home. Nikola Vucevic scored 14 and Jameer Nelson, who missed the last two games with a sore knee, added seven points and 11 assists for Orlando.

Josh Smith registered 25 points and 12 rebounds while Andre Drummond collected 15 points and 14 boards for his 36th double-double of the season to lead Detroit. Brandon Jennings chipped in with 15 points and 10 assists and Rodney Stuckey scored 14 for the Pistons, who lost their fourth straight road game.

Detroit was within two almost five minutes into the second quarter before Orlando scored nine straight, capped by Afflalo’s 3-pointer, and increased its lead to 57-43 at intermission. Oladipo recorded 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting in the first half as the Magic made 51 percent from the field and forced 11 turnovers.

Orlando pushed the lead to 20 after Davis' basket with just under three minutes left in the third quarter before Smith helped trim the lead to 88-74 going into the fourth. Smith and Drummond each scored to open the final frame, but Oladipo followed with a driving layup and the Pistons never got closer than 10 the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Orlando had a 49-20 scoring edge off the bench and reserve C Kyle O’Quinn had eight points to go along with a career-high six blocks. … Detroit F Josh Harrellson missed his second straight game with a sore knee and Jennings registered his 500th career steal in the first half for the Pistons. … Orlando’s 17 assists in the opening 24 minutes was a season high for any half during the 2013-14 campaign and the Magic finished with 29 helpers.
