Celtics 114, 76ers 108: Jeff Green poured in 36 points to go with eight rebounds as visiting Boston avenged last week's loss to Philadelphia.

Jared Sullinger collected 19 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four blocks for the Celtics, who have won two straight following a four-game losing streak. Brandon Bass added 18 points and Avery Bradley scored 14 as Boston won for just the second time in its last 13 road games.

Thaddeus Young scored 20 points to lead seven players in double figures for the 76ers, who have dropped four straight since the win at Boston last Wednesday. Tony Wroten added 18 points off the bench and Spencer Hawes (13 points, 14 rebounds) and Lavoy Allen (10 points, 10 rebounds) recorded double-doubles.

Green scored 17 points in the third quarter, almost single-handedly holding Philadelphia at bay until Wroten hit a half-court heave at the buzzer to get the 76ers within 88-82 entering the final period. Philadelphia pulled within three on a couple occasions in the fourth and cut it to 109-105 before Sullinger converted a three-point play with 59.4 seconds left and the Celtics held on.

After missing their first five shots, the Celtics went 14-for-20 in the rest of the first quarter to open a 34-23 lead after one. The 76ers reeled off a 12-2 run in the middle of the second quarter and regained the lead on James Anderson's bucket, but Boston answered with a 10-0 spurt and took a 56-47 lead into the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Philadelphia PG Michael Carter-Williams, named the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for January on Wednesday, struggled to 5-for-16 from the field and finished with 11 points and six assists. … The 76ers have lost six consecutive home games for the first time since a franchise-record 12-game home skid during the 1996-97 season. … Celtics PG Rajon Rondo, playing his eighth game since returning from a torn ACL, recorded a season-high 11 assists to go with eight points and nine rebounds in 32 minutes.
