Pacers 104, Lakers 92: David West had 19 points and eight rebounds and Lance Stephenson had 15 points and a career-best 14 boards as visiting Indiana handed Los Angeles its fifth straight defeat.

Paul George had 14 points and six assists but was just 4-of-21 from the field for the Pacers, who finished 3-2 on a road trip against Western Conference squads. George Hill added 13 points for Indiana, which committed just four turnovers and held a 63-50 rebounding advantage.

Pau Gasol had 21 points and 13 rebounds and Jodie Meeks also scored 21 points for the Lakers, who have lost 17 of their last 20 games. Nick Young scored 12 points, Kendall Marshall had 11 points and a game-high 13 assists and Jordan Hill had 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Los Angeles trailed by 12 early in the fourth quarter before Ryan Kelly hit a short jumper and Meeks drained a 3-pointer to pull the Lakers within 84-77. Danny Granger hit a 3-pointer to start a 9-0 run that pushed Indiana’s lead to 16 and Los Angeles was never again within single digits.

The contest was tied at 49 at halftime and the Pacers used a 30-point third quarter to take a 10-point lead. George ended the stanza with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer and his two free throws with 9:56 remaining gave Indiana an 84-72 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lakers G Kobe Bryant (knee) was re-evaluated Tuesday and it was determined he will be sidelined for approximately three more weeks. … The Pacers collected 17 offensive rebounds and possessed a 58-44 edge in points in the paint. … Los Angeles has allowed more than 100 points in 13 consecutive games.
