Nuggets 125, Kings 117: Ty Lawson scored 27 points and Wilson Chandler added 20 to lead visiting Denver past injury-decimated Sacramento.

Kenneth Faried had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Timofey Mozgov had 14 points on 5-of-5 shooting as the Nuggets won their second straight game. Nate Robinson had 12 points and eight assists and Randy Foye also scored 12 points.

Isaiah Thomas had 22 points and eight assists for Sacramento, which was without center DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) and forward Rudy Gay (Achilles) for the second straight game. Marcus Thornton scored 19 points and Ben McLemore tallied 18.

The Nuggets led by two entering the fourth quarter but opened up a 111-102 lead on Robinson’s 3-pointer with 7:13 remaining. Sacramento was within five with 2:24 left before Denver protected its lead by making 9-of-10 free throws over the final 2:09.

The Nuggets led 65-59 at halftime and the Kings used an 11-0 burst in the third to take an 80-75 lead. Lawson had 12 points in the period as Denver recovered to hold a 95-93 edge entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kings F Jason Thompson contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the campaign. … The Nuggets topped 100 points for the 13th straight game and have scored at least 120 in five of them. … Thomas went 1-of-6 from 3-point range to snap a tie with Peja Stojakovic by making one in his 37th consecutive game, two off Mitch Richmond’s franchise mark.
