Grizzlies 99, Rockets 81: Zach Randolph had 15 points and 17 rebounds as host Memphis defeated Houston for the second consecutive night.

Mike Conley scored 17 points and Courtney Lee added 15 for the Grizzlies, who have won seven of their last eight games. Kosta Koufos added 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting and also contributed seven rebounds and three blocked shots.

James Harden scored 16 points for the Rockets and averaged just 13 points in the two contests against the Grizzlies. Chandler Parsons scored only 11 points on 5-of-16 shooting one night after setting an NBA record with 10 3-pointers in a single half.

The Grizzlies led by 17 entering the final quarter and scored the first five of the period to boost the lead to 76-54. The advantage topped out at 27 en route to the club’s second straight victory over a Southwest Division rival after losing their first 10 such contests.

Memphis ended the first half with an 11-2 run to take a 46-35 halftime lead. The Grizzlies held the Rockets to 5-of-21 from the field in the third quarter while stretching their lead to 71-54.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The double-double was Randolph’s 189th in 300 games with the Grizzlies, tying Pau Gasol’s club record. … C Dwight Howard added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Rockets, who shot just 37 percent from the field. … Memphis collected 16 offensive rebounds while recording a 52-38 edge on the boards.
