Isaiah Thomas added 20 points and 11 assists for the Kings, who snapped a two-game losing streak and won on the road for the first time in 2014. DeMarcus Cousins totaled 18 points and 11 rebounds, extending his league-high double-double streak to 15 consecutive games.

Sacramento had the hot hand early, draining nine of its first 11 attempts from the field en route to a season-high 38-point first quarter. After extending the lead to as many as 23, led by 19 first-half points from Gay, the Kings allowed New Orleans to shoot 11-of-14 in the second quarter to trim the lead to just eight by halftime.
After the break, Sacramento appeared to regain its form from the first quarter, knocking down 10-of-14 from the floor to start the period on the way to a 91-70 lead entering the final stanza. In the fourth, the Pelicans would get no closer than a 15-point deficit and after a 3-pointer from Gay pushed the lead to 20 points with just under eight minutes to go, the Kings kept their distance down the stretch.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Sacramento F Quincy Acy, who joined the Kings along with Gay in a December trade with Toronto, grabbed a career-best 10 rebounds. ... Pelicans rookie C Jeff Withey scored a career-high 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting. ... Thomas finished 3-of-8 from 3-point range, marking his 34th consecutive game with at least one make from beyond the arc and drawing within five games of Mitch Richmond's franchise record of 39.
