Pelicans 95, Grizzlies 92: Anthony Davis had 27 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and four blocked shots as visiting New Orleans defeated Memphis to snap an eight-game losing streak.

Tyreke Evans added 15 points and seven assists as the Pelicans won for the first time since Jan. 3. Brian Roberts added 13 points and Eric Gordon had 12 as the Pelicans defeated the Grizzlies for the third consecutive time this season.

Zach Randolph had 23 points and a season-best 20 rebounds but was scoreless in the final quarter as New Orleans halted Memphis’ five-game winning streak. Courtney Lee scored 19 points, Marc Gasol added 14 and Mike Conley had 13.

The Grizzlies trailed by nine points midway through the final quarter before pulling within 91-89 on two free throws by Conley with 1:30 left. Memphis trailed by three with 29.9 seconds left and elected to play defense instead of fouling and the strategy was foiled when Roberts missed a shot with about five seconds remaining and Gordon grabbed the rebound as the Pelicans ran out the clock.

New Orleans led 41-40 at halftime but Memphis led by as many as five in the third quarter to take a 69-68 edge into the final stanza. Evans scored five points during a 9-0 run that saw the Pelicans take an 85-76 lead with 6:30 to play.
