Wizards 107, 76ers 99: Bradley Beal recorded 22 points, nine rebounds and eight assists as Washington defeated visiting Philadelphia for its fourth win in five games.

Marcin Gortat collected 19 points and 11 rebounds while Kevin Seraphin scored 16 off the bench as the Wizards reached the .500 mark at 20-20. John Wall chipped in 14 points and Trevor Ariza added 13 for Washington, which held the 76ers to 4-of-18 from 3-point range.

Michael Carter-Williams led the way with 31 points for Philadelphia, which has dropped seven of the last eight contests. Thaddeus Young registered 18 points, Hollis Thompson scored 13 and Spencer Hawes added 11 points and a season-high 16 rebounds for the 76ers.

Wall had six points during an 8-0 run that gave Washington a nine-point advantage before it settled for a 29-23 edge after one quarter. Philadelphia pulled within one before the Wizards ran off 15 of the next 19 points – 10 from Beal – and ended the opening half with a 61-51 lead.

Young’s eight points led a 12-2 run that brought the 76ers within four, but Beal’s 3-pointer started an identical burst and Washington led 86-73 after three periods. Seraphin scored six points during a 10-0 run early in the final quarter for a 21-point lead and the Wizards held off a late rally.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gortat was 7-of-11 from the field and recorded his 14th double-double of the season and fourth in the last nine games. … Philadelphia G Tony Wroten (ankle) and F Brandon Davies (finger) were held out of the lineup due to injuries. … Wizards F Trevor Booker, who averages 6.5 rebounds, missed the game with a sprained ankle that he suffered in Saturday’s loss to Detroit.
