Clippers 123, Lakers 87: Blake Griffin had 33 points, 12 rebounds and four steals as the host Clippers rolled to their largest winning margin ever against the Lakers in the latest meeting between the two Los Angeles clubs.

Darren Collison contributed 20 points and seven assists and J.J. Redick scored 19 points in his return from a wrist injury as the Clippers won for the fifth time in six games. DeAndre Jordan had 13 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocked shots en route to the Clippers posting their second-biggest winning margin of the season.

Kendall Marshall had 16 points and 10 assists for the Lakers, who have lost four straight games and 10 of their last 11. Wesley Johnson and Robert Sacre added 14 points apiece as the Lakers shot just 34.5 percent from the field and committed 21 turnovers while suffering their worst defeat of the season.

The Clippers dominated from the outset, leading by as many as 20 in the first quarter and building a 43-25 lead. The margin was 70-52 at halftime as Griffin had 20 points and eight rebounds prior to the break.

The demolition picked up steam in the third quarter when the Clippers put together a 14-0 surge to boost the lead to 34 and ended up holding the Lakers to eight third-quarter points on 2-of-20 shooting. The advantage was 101-60 entering the final stanza and the Clippers led by as many as 43 while flirting with handing the Lakers their worst-ever defeat – which remains a 46-point loss to the Trail Blazers on Jan. 9, 1995.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Clippers had a 56-47 rebounding edge and also accumulated 16 steals and 13 blocks. … The loss marked the fourth time the Lakers have lost by 25 or more points this season … Redick scored 17 points in the first half in his first action since Nov. 29.
