Heat 107, Pelicans 88: LeBron James scored 16 of his 32 points in the third quarter as host Miami played a strong second half while knocking off the Pelicans.

Dwyane Wade had 22 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as the Heat won for the 11th time in 13 games. Chris Andersen scored 15 points on 7-of-7 shooting and Chris Bosh added 12 points and nine rebounds for Miami.

Anthony Davis had 22 points and 12 rebounds for New Orleans, which led by 11 points early in the third quarter before being outscored 58-24 over the next 19 minutes. Eric Gordon scored 15 points and Tyreke Evans added 13.

The Heat led 75-70 entering the final stanza and scored the first seven points of the quarter to boost the lead to 12. A basket by Wade increased the advantage to 101-78 with 3:46 remaining and Miami emptied the bench.

Davis had 16 points and 10 rebounds in the opening half as the Pelicans took a 49-43 lead into the break. Davis’ 18-footer early in the third made it an 11-point margin before Miami seized control with a 25-7 surge.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Pelicans leading scorer Ryan Anderson (herniated disc in his back) missed his second consecutive contest and will be sidelined indefinitely, the team announced. … The Heat shot 59 percent from the field in the second half to finish at 51.3 … New Orleans C Jason Smith (shoulder) returned after missing four games and had eight points in 22 minutes.
