Nuggets 137, Lakers 115: Ty Lawson had 20 points and 12 assists and Timofey Mozgov scored 20 points off the bench as visiting Denver knocked off struggling Los Angeles.

Nate Robinson scored a team-high 21 points, Kenneth Faried had 17 points and 13 rebounds and Wilson Chandler also scored 17 points for the Nuggets. Randy Foye added 14 points as Denver won its second straight contest following an eight-game skid.

Pau Gasol had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Jodie Meeks scored 23 points for the Lakers, who have dropped seven of their last eight contests. Nick Young scored 21 points and Kendall Marshall had a career-best 17 assists.

Robinson scored five points during a 7-0 surge to open the fourth quarter as Denver boosted its lead to 17. The advantage reached 20 on two free throws by Mozgov with 8:15 left and the Nuggets poured it on to conclude with 44 fourth-quarter points.

Los Angeles led 61-60 at halftime before Denver dominated the second half with 77 points. Chandler scored eight points during a 17-2 third-quarter run that saw the Nuggets take a 12-point advantage and they entered the final quarter with a 93-83 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The scoring output was Denver’s highest of the season and also the most allowed by the Lakers. … The Nuggets had a 58-38 rebounding edge and were 12-of-29 from 3-point range, while Los Angeles was just 3-of-21. … Mozgov has two 20-point outings this season, the other being a career-best 23 against the Lakers on Nov. 13.
