Pelicans 95, Celtics 92: Anthony Davis led six players in double figures with 23 points as visiting New Orleans survived a tight affair.

Tyreke Evans scored 16 points and handed out a team-high six assists off the bench for the Pelicans, who improved to 8-2 against Eastern Conference teams. Eric Gordon and Greg Stiemsma had 12 points apiece and Ryan Anderson had 13 points and seven rebounds before leaving the court on a stretcher following a collision with Boston forward Gerald Wallace less than a minute into the fourth quarter.

Avery Bradley led Boston with 22 points while Brandon Bass added 16 and 11 rebounds. Jeff Green also had 16 points and Jared Sullinger finished with 13 points and 11 boards as the Celtics fell for the sixth time in seven games.

Anderson hit a 3-pointer to give the Pelicans an eight-point lead late in the first half and the advantage remained at eight points following Gordon's free throws in the early portion of the third quarter. Bradley had seven points, a block and a steal during an 18-7 surge that put the hosts up 65-62 with three minutes left in the period.

Despite going nearly six minutes without a field goal in the fourth, the Celtics were able to regain a three-point advantage at 86-83 on Green's 3-pointer, but Davis hit a short hook to put New Orleans up 91-90 with 1:41 remaining. The Pelicans forced a shot clock violation inside of a minute, Evans scored on a drive to the hoop and Sullinger missed badly on a last-second 3-point try.

New Orleans' bench outscored Boston's reserves by a 52-20 margin. ... The Celtics, who lost in Chicago on Thursday night, did not arrive in Boston until early in the afternoon Friday due to the large snowstorm that hit New England.
