76ers 111, Lakers 104: Thaddeus Young had 25 points and nine rebounds and Evan Turner contributed 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists as Philadelphia defeated Los Angeles to halt a 13-game road losing streak.

Spencer Hawes added 19 points and eight rebounds for the 76ers, who won for only the second time in the last 11 games. Michael Carter-Williams had 13 points and four steals as Philadelphia improved to 2-13 away from home.

Nick Young scored 26 points but was 6-of-21 from the field as the Lakers lost their fifth straight game. Jordan Hill had 18 points and 13 rebounds, Jodie Meeks scored 15 points and Shawne Williams had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Los Angeles, which was without ill center Pau Gasol for the third time in five games.

The Lakers had a 97-94 lead after Nick Young’s basket with 5:46 remaining before Philadelphia used a 10-2 run to take a five-point lead and later received a three-point play from Thaddeus Young for a 107-101 edge with 1:15 to go. Jordan Farmer hit a 3-pointer to cut the Los Angeles deficit in half, but Williams hit two free throws with 13.2 seconds left and Turner finished off the victory with a dunk.

The contest was tied at 52 at the break after the 76ers shot 37.3 percent from the field and the Lakers checked in at 34.9. Philadelphia led by as many as 13 in the third quarter before settling for an 86-77 advantage entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lakers swingman Xavier Henry (knee) left in the first quarter, while Gasol is batting an upper respiratory infection and hopes to return Tuesday against Milwaukee. … Philadelphia’s Young is averaging 27.5 points over the last four games, scoring at least 25 in each contest. … The Lakers committed 22 turnovers, leading to 27 Philadelphia points.
