Dwyane Wade scored 20 of his 24 points in the first half and Chris Bosh finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Heat. Mario Chalmers scored six of his 11 points on a pair of big 3-pointers down the stretch.

Kyrie Irving led six Cavaliers in double figures with 19 points. Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters had 16 points apiece for Cleveland, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.

James, Wade and Bosh combined for 53 points on 21-of-26 shooting as the Heat took a 68-52 lead into the break, but the trio had a total of five points in the third and Jarrett Jack's basket with 27 seconds left pulled Cleveland within 84-80. Clark and Waiters hit consecutive 3-pointers early in the fourth to trim the deficit to a point and Jack's floater moments later put the Cavaliers on top.

Waiters scored again to force a Heat timeout and the hosts responded, as Wade and James scored to tie it and James followed up Bosh's jumper to give Miami a 102-100 lead with just over three minutes left. Norris Cole scored moments later and Chalmers hit his last 3-pointer with 96 seconds left to give the Heat a 109-101 advantage.
