Knicks 113, Nets 83: Carmelo Anthony collected 19 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as visiting New York snapped a nine-game losing streak with an easy win over shorthanded Brooklyn.

Iman Shumpert went 5-of-7 from 3-point range en route to 17 points and Andrea Bargnani scored 16 as the Knicks went off for 16-of-27 from beyond the arc. Raymond Felton scored 13 points and Amar’e Stoudemire contributed 11 off the bench in 19 minutes.

Brook Lopez recorded 24 points and nine rebounds as the Nets suffered their ninth loss in 11 games. Joe Johnson added 13 points for Brooklyn, which was again without Deron Williams (ankle), Paul Pierce (hand), Andrei Kirilenko (back) and Jason Terry (knee).

New York took a 50-43 lead into the half and quickly began to spread it out in the third quarter. Shumpert hit three 3-pointers in the first seven minutes of the period and J.R. Smith nailed one from beyond the arc to stretch the lead to 71-52 before the Knicks pushed it to 84-59 heading into the fourth.

The Nets were down by 28 points with 9:11 left when Kevin Garnett and Bargnani got tangled up and some mild pushing and shoving ensued. Bargnani and Garnett were each hit with technical fouls, and Bargnani was ejected from the game less than a minute later for trash-talking Garnett after his jumper gave New York a 29-point lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Nets have lost two straight home games by 20 or more points for the first time in franchise history. … The Knicks were hit with four technical fouls in the game (Bargnani with two, Shumpert and Stoudemire with one apiece) while Brooklyn was called for two (Garnett, Andray Blatche) in the testy contest. … The Nets have lost six in a row at home.
