Hawks 96, Pistons 89: Jeff Teague totaled 18 points and nine assists as visiting Atlanta took down Detroit for the second consecutive game.

Al Horford added 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks (8-5), who had five players reach double figures. Paul Millsap and Kyle Korver each pitched in 14 and DeMarre Carroll finished with 12 for Atlanta, which has won six of eight.

Kyle Singler scored 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting for the Pistons (4-8), who have lost seven of nine. Rodney Stuckey pitched in with 17 off the bench for Detroit while former Hawk Josh Smith, who failed to register a point, missed all seven of his field goal attempts in 20 minutes off the bench.

The Pistons used a 9-2 run, capped by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's jumper, to pull within 82-81 with 6:31 remaining. The teams traded runs and leads in the ensuing minutes before Atlanta closed out the game on a 10-2 charge, led by seven points from Carroll, to complete the home-and-home sweep.

The Hawks jumped out to a 27-22 lead after the opening quarter before the teams were deadlocked in the second and Atlanta hit the break up 49-44. Horford paced the offense for the Hawks at the half with 12 points, while Singler bested all Detroit scorers with 14 at the midway point.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Atlanta had committed 47 turnovers in their previous two games compared to 15 on Friday. ... Smith combined for 11 points on 5-of-22 shooting in the back-to-back games against his former team. ... Korver shot 4-of-6 from long range, extending his streak to 86 straight games with at least one 3-pointer and pulling within three games of Dana Barros' NBA record.
