Thunder 105, Clippers 91:
Kevin Durant collected 28 points, eight assists and six rebounds as Oklahoma City held off visiting Los Angeles to pick up its third straight win.

Serge Ibaka added 17 points while Russell Westbrook struggled to 12 on 5-of-13 shooting for the Thunder, who improved to 5-0 at home. Jeremy Lamb scored 11 off the bench to lead a 35-point effort from the reserves.

Chris Paul extended his NBA record with his 13th double-double to start the season, recording 17 points and 12 assists for the Clippers. Blake Griffin scored a team-high 27 points to go with 10 rebounds and Jamal Crawford added 18 points off the bench.

Oklahoma City held the league’s second-highest scoring team to 43 points on 38.8 shooting and led by as much as 13 points in the first half before taking a 51-43 lead into the break. Los Angeles picked up its pace after the break but the Thunder responded to every charge, answering 14 straight points from Griffin for the Clippers with a 7-0 burst to spread the lead back to 13 points.

Paul’s 3-pointer with 49 seconds left in the third cut it to 79-72, but two free throws gave Oklahoma City a nine-point edge going into the final period. Los Angeles crawled to within 86-79 on Crawford’s layup with 9:08 left but the bench led a 9-2 run to push it back out and the Thunder rolled to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Clippers F Matt Barnes, who was ejected from a game between the team on Nov. 13 in Los Angeles, sat out and will miss two weeks with a retinal tear. … The 91 points marked the second-lowest scoring output of the season and snapped a six-game string of at least 100 for the Clippers. … Oklahoma City outscored Los Angeles in the paint 58-32.
