Pelicans 135, 76ers 98: Ryan Anderson knocked down six 3-pointers en route to 26 points off the bench in his season debut as New Orleans crushed visiting Philadelphia.

Eric Gordon added 19 points and Jrue Holiday collected 14 points and 12 assists against his former team for the Pelicans, who shot 60.5 percent in snapping a three-game slide. Anderson, who sat out the first six games with a toe injury, went 10-of-16 from the field in 27 minutes.

Darius Morris scored 20 points off the bench and Tony Wroten had 19 as the 76ers dropped below .500 for the first time this season at 5-6. Evan Turner was held to a season-low four points on 2-of-11 shooting.

The Pelicans shot 58.1 percent in the first half to roll up a commanding 67-46 lead at the half. Anthony Davis’ free throws with 4:24 left in the second quarter made it a 61-31 gap before Philadelphia found a rhythm and chopped nine points off the deficit before the break.

The 76ers could not hold that momentum through the half as Holiday scored seven points in the first four minutes of the third to push it out to 80-51. Brian Roberts’ free throw made it 101-62 with 1:54 left in the third and New Orleans cruised to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Philadelphia came in leading the NBA in points allowed and has surrendered at least 109 in five straight. … The win was the sixth largest in franchise history for the Pelicans. … Davis sat out the entire fourth quarter, leaving him shy of a triple-double at 13 points, nine rebounds and a career-high eight blocks.
