Heat 97, Bobcats 81: LeBron James led all scorers with 30 points as Miami beat host Charlotte for the 13th consecutive time.

James - who entered the game shooting a sizzling 61 percent - made 13-of-18 shots while adding seven assists to pace Miami, which has won three in a row. Michael Beasley had 15 points off the bench while Chris Andersen added 10 points in a reserve role.

Kemba Walker's 22 points led the Bobcats, who dropped their third straight home game. Jeffery Taylor added 14 points and Gerald Henderson 13 for Charlotte.

James racked up 11 first-quarter points - highlighted by two thunderous dunks and a three-point play - as Miami went up 26-16 after one. Charlotte closed the gap with an 11-2 run capped by a Taylor layup on a Josh McRoberts behind-the-back pass, but James responded with nine points in a 3:18 span before going to the bench with 20 first-half points as the Heat rode a 45-41 advantage into the break.

Miami kept Charlotte at bay throughout a sloppy third quarter, stretching the lead to nine on Beasley's jumper and adding Rashard Lewis' spinning jumper in the lane with 43.4 seconds left to carry a 68-60 lead into the fourth. Beasley's alley-oop on a feed from James made it an 11-point Miami lead early in the final quarter, and the Bobcats didn't challenge the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Taylor hit the deck hard with just over four minutes remaining in the second quarter after missing a driving layup attempt. Taylor writhed on the court holding his left hand before rushing to the locker room; but he returned in the third quarter with a bandage on his wrist. ... Bobcats C Al Jefferson missed his second straight game with an ankle injury. ... Miami C Chris Bosh spent most of the game in foul trouble and finished with just seven points in 16 minutes.
