Magic 110, Pelicans 90: Arron Afflalo poured in a game-high 30 points and Maurice Harkless added 20 points, eight rebounds and four steals to lead Orlando in its home opener.

Kyle O'Quinn added 14 off the bench and Nikola Vucevic, Jameer Nelson and Victor Oladipo scored 10 apiece for the Magic, who shot 55.7 percent and never trailed. Orlando was 11-of-22 from 3-point range.

Anthony Davis led New Orleans with 26 points and 17 rebounds. Jrue Holiday added 17 points and Anthony Morrow scored 14 off the bench but the Pelicans shot just 34.8 percent from the field.

New Orleans pulled within 22-20 at the end of one quarter on Brian Roberts' 20-foot jumper, but the Magic closed the half on a 21-8 run to take an 18-point lead into the break. Harkless scored 12 points during the pivotal stretch.

Afflalo drilled a 3-pointer coming out of halftime to push the margin to 56-35, and the Pelicans never pulled closer than 14 the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Orlando improved to 18-7 all-time in home openers and has won 13 of the last 16. … Davis has recorded double-doubles in both games this season and has 22 in his career. … Oladipo, who also had six rebounds and six assists, has scored in double digits in his first three NBA games.
