Grizzlies 99, Timberwolves 86:
Marc Gasol led the way with 21 points as visiting Memphis downed Minnesota to snap a five-game road losing streak.

Mike Conley added 19 points and Darrell Arthur scored 11 of his 15 in the fourth quarter for the Grizzlies, who began the fourth quarter with a 21-6 burst to put the game away. Memphis now owns the fourth-best record in the Western Conference, a half-game ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers, but remains in fifth place due to the Clippers' standing as Pacific Division leaders.

Ricky Rubio collected 23 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists for the Timberwolves, who were without center Nikola Pekovic (ankle).

Minnesota held a 67-65 lead entering the fourth quarter but watched that advantage disappear as the Grizzlies' bench took over. Arthur scored nine points in the first five minutes of the period to help Memphis grab an 81-69 lead.

The Timberwolves crept back to within 90-81 with 1:55 left but Gasol found Mike Conley for a 3-pointer to push it back to double figures.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Grizzlies return home to face West-leading San Antonio on Monday before hitting the road again for three straight. … Minnesota shot 51.4 percent in the first half but slumped to 33.3 percent in the second. … Derrick Williams added 19 points for the Timberwolves.
