Suns 99, Lakers 76: Reserve Luis Scola scored all 14 of his points in the fourth quarter as host Phoenix dominated the final 12 minutes to roar past a Los Angeles team missing Kobe Bryant for the second straight game.

Wesley Johnson also scored 14 points, Jared Dudley tallied 13 points and Goran Dragic had 12 points and 10 assists as the Suns outscored the Lakers 28-10 in the final period while snapping a four-game losing streak.

Steve Nash scored 19 points and Dwight Howard had 16 and 11 rebounds for Los Angeles. Bryant again sat out with an ankle injury as the Lakers fell one game behind the seventh-place Houston Rockets in the Western Conference playoff race.

The Suns held a five-point lead entering the final stanza and put the game away with a 16-4 burst to take a 17-point lead with 5:16 to play. A dunk by Dragic pushed the edge to 95-75 with 2:31 to play as the Lakers were 4-of-21 shooting over the final 12 minutes and finished at 33.3 percent.

Phoenix had a 47-44 halftime lead and boosted the lead to 11 on a dunk by Markieff Morris with 3:18 left in the third quarter. The Suns carried a 71-66 advantage into the fourth quarter and began pulling away as Los Angeles missed its first five shots and eight of its first 10.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Suns received 52 points from their reserves compared to 17 from the Los Angeles bench. … Howard finished one board short of having 12 or more rebounds for the 15th consecutive game. … Phoenix fell by an average of 20 points during its losing skid.
