Lakers 113, Kings 102: Antawn Jamison had 27 points and nine rebounds off the bench and Steve Nash had 19 points and 12 assists as Los Angeles beat visiting Sacramento for its 19th victory in 26 games.

Metta World Peace scored 22 points, Steve Blake added 16 points and eight assists and Dwight Howard had 12 points, 17 rebounds and five blocked shots for the Lakers, who were without guard Kobe Bryant due to an ankle injury.

Isaiah Thomas scored 26 points and Patrick Patterson added 22 points for the Kings, who have lost 12 of their past 13 road games. Center DeMarcus Cousins sat out his second straight game due to a quadriceps injury.

Los Angeles had a 12-point lead in the final quarter before Marcus Thornton scored eight of his 15 points during a 10-0 run that pulled the Kings within 90-88 with 8:36 to play. The Lakers responded with 11 straight points with Jamison hitting his fifth 3-pointer to boost the advantage to 13 with 5:41 remaining.

The contest was tied at 56 at halftime before Los Angeles went 11-of-17 from the field in the third quarter to take an 86-76 lead into the final 12 minutes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bryant is also expected to miss Monday’s road game against the Phoenix Suns. … The Kings committed six turnovers one game after having a season-low five against the Chicago Bulls. … Los Angeles has won seven straight home contests and is four games above .500 for the first time this season.
