Mavericks 112, Rockets 108: Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Marion scored 22 points apiece as host Dallas rebounded from a loss at Houston on Sunday in the back end of a home-and-home.

O.J. Mayo had a career-high 12 assists and scored 13 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with just over three minutes to play as the Mavericks beat the Rockets for the sixth consecutive time at home.

James Harden scored 28 points and Chandler Parsons added 23 for Houston, which fell to 1-10 in its last 11 meetings against its in-state rival.

Dallas led by as many as 13 points and was ahead by 11 with 3 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter before the Rockets went on an 11-1 run to help cut the deficit to 87-83 entering the final 12 minutes.

Houston got within a point on four occasions and finally went ahead 104-102 on a 3-pointer by Harden with 3:41 to play. Mayo answered with a 3-pointer of his own 27 seconds later before drilling a long jumper from the right wing to spark a 7-0 burst and give the Mavericks a five-point lead with 1:51 left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rockets C Omer Asik had 12 points and 15 rebounds, giving him double-digit boards for seven straight games and 16 of the last 17. ... Vince Carter hit three 3-pointers for 16 points and Brandan Wright added 12 points for Dallas, which shot 54.2 percent and hit 11 of 26 3-point attempts. ... Parsons was 5-of-8 from behind the arc after burying 6 of 7 from long range against the Mavericks on Sunday as Houston went 12-of-32 and extended its franchise record by making at least 10 3-pointers for the 36th time
