Knicks 100, Timberwolves 94: Carmelo Anthony scored 12 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter and grabbed nine rebounds as visiting New York rallied to beat Minnesota for the fourth straight time.

J.R. Smith added 15 points and eight rebounds off the bench, including a three-point play that helped ice the Knicks' sixth win in seven games. Raymond Felton, Amar'e Stoudemire and Steve Novak added 11 apiece for New York.

Luke Ridnour scored 20 points and Ricky Rubio added a season-high 18 to go with 11 assists for Minnesota, which has lost three straight and nine of 10. Derrick Williams scored 19 and Nikola Pekovic had 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves led 87-76 after Williams' jumper with 7:16 left, but Smith answered with a 3-pointer at the other end and Anthony scored six straight points amid a 15-4 New York run.

Anthony and Dante Cunningham exchanged baskets that flip-flopped the lead, but Smith fed Tyson Chandler inside to give the Knicks a 93-92 advantage, Anthony ripped down a rebound and knocked down a 19-footer to make it 95-92 and New York didn't trail again.

GAME NOTEBOOK: New York G Jason Kidd had four assists, giving him 12,001 for his career. He ranks second all-time behind John Stockton (15,806). … Minnesota outscored New York 30-18 in the third quarter but lost for the ninth time this season when taking a lead to the fourth. … The Timberwolves were without F Andrei Kirilenko (strained quadriceps) for the second consecutive game.
