Spurs 103, Grizzlies 82:
Tony Parker collected 17 points and 11 assists as San Antonio locked down defensively in the second half to secure its 13th straight home victory.

Tim Duncan added 19 points and eight rebounds while Boris Diaw chipped in 14 points off the bench for the Spurs, who held Memphis to 26.6 percent from the field after the break.

Rudy Gay returned to the lineup after a one-game absence and scored 17 points as the Grizzlies matched their season high with a third consecutive setback. Memphis has averaged 79.3 points in the three losses.

The Grizzlies shot 53.8 percent in the first half but still trailed 57-54 at the break as the Spurs were even hotter, going off at 64.9 percent in the opening two periods. Memphis hung around through the early part of the third quarter but did not hit a field goal in the final six minutes as San Antonio pushed the lead out to 82-69 heading into the fourth.

The field-goal drought lasted until Tony Allen’s dunk with 7:24 left in the game, and it would be another 4:54 until Josh Selby’s pull-up jumper. By then the Spurs had stretched the lead to over 20 points and pulled their starters, coasting to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The Grizzlies totaled three field goals in the final 18 minutes of the contest. … San Antonio G Manu Ginobili (hamstring) sat out the contest. The Spurs improved to 3-2 this season without Ginobili. … San Antonio recorded an assist on 33 of its 44 made field goals and went 9-of-18 from 3-point range.
