The Clippers led by as many as 18 in the second quarter, but the Lakers were within three early in the third period before a sustained run boosted the Clippers’ advantage to 87-71 entering the final quarter.

The Clippers led 92-73 after a 3-pointer by Lamar Odom with 10:36 to play, but the Lakers used a 16-4 surge to trim the deficit to seven with just over five minutes left. Bryant’s basket with 1:29 remaining pulled the Lakers within two.
