Hornets 97, Magic 94: Robin Lopez scored a season-high 29 points and Greivis Vasquez added a career-high 27 to go with eight assists and six rebounds as visiting New Orleans snapped an 11-game skid.

Anthony Davis added 12 points and 11 rebounds and Ryan Anderson scored 15 off the bench for the Hornets, who won for the first time in seven road games and snapped a four-game skid against the Magic.

Jameer Nelson scored a season-high 28 points and dished out 10 assists for the Magic, who have lost three straight. Nikola Vucevic added 19 points and Arron Afflalo scored 14.

The Magic took a 94-93 lead on J.J. Redick's two free throws with 1:34 left, but didn't score the rest of the way. Vasquez made a floater to put the Hornets back in front and knocked down a pair of free throws with 18 seconds left, and Vucevic missed a potential tying 3-pointer on Orlando's final possession.

The Hornets shot 50 percent from the field but were just 2-for-12 from 3-point range. Anderson, who leads the league in made 3-pointers, was just 1-of-5 from beyond the arc against his former teammates.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Magic have lost their past three games by a combined 10 points. … The Hornets won for the first time in nine games since Davis returned from injury. … Orlando has allowed less than 100 points in 12 straight games but is just 6-6 during that stretch.
