76ers 100, Mavericks 98:
Evan Turner scored 22 points and Thaddeus Young added 20 and seven rebounds as host Philadelphia held off Dallas.

Jrue Holiday contributed 18 points and seven assists while rookie Maalik Wayns scored a career-high 10 points off the bench for the 76ers, who have won two straight and five of their last seven.

Chris Kaman scored 20 points while Elton Brand and Shawn Marion each added 17 and eight rebounds for the Mavericks.

Dallas took an 81-79 lead on Brand’s two free throws with 8:47 left but went the next 3:44 without scoring as Philadelphia took control. Spencer Hawes and Young scored four points apiece during a 12-0 run.

Vince Carter buried a 3-pointer with 1:23 left and drove for a layup with 35 seconds on the clock to cut Dallas' deficit to 100-98. Holiday missed at the other end and the Mavericks had one last chance, but O.J. Mayo missed two free throws with two seconds remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Brand was let go by Philadelphia and signed by the Mavericks over the summer. He shot 5-of-10 in 19 minutes off the bench in his first appearance against his former team. … Dallas has allowed at least 100 points in four straight games and has dropped three of its last four. … Young has gone for 20 or more points in two of his last three games after failing to reach the mark in the first 12 contests.
