Antawn Jamison recorded season highs of 19 points and 15 rebounds as visiting Los Angeles crushed Dallas.

Kobe Bryant and Metta World Peace each scored 19 points and Dwight Howard added 15 as the Lakers built a 27-point halftime lead while winning on the road for the first time this season in five attempts.

Vince Carter scored 16 points and Jae Crowder chipped in 15 for Dallas, which has lost seven of the last eight regular-season contests between the squads.

The Lakers pulled away early by scoring 31 points in the first nine minutes while opening up a 16-point lead. The bulge was 15 midway through the second quarter before Los Angeles rolled off 11 straight points over three minutes en route to a 65-38 halftime advantage.

The contest was a mismatch on the boards, with the Lakers finishing with a 61-39 edge. The Lakers shot 58.5 percent in the first half and led comfortably the entire second half despite shooting just 39.0 percent over the final 24 minutes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: World Peace hit five 3-pointers as the Lakers went 12-of-22 from behind the arc. … Carter became the 104th player in NBA history to play in at least 1,000 regular-season games. … Los Angeles is 1-4 on the road. The four consecutive losses marked the franchise’s worst road start since losing the first six of the 1993-94 campaign.
