Pistons 91, Raptors 90: Brandon Knight scored 16 points and hit the go-ahead layup with 7.8 seconds remaining as host Detroit posted its third victory in 13 games by squeaking past Toronto.

Detroit squandered a 13-point lead in the third quarter and did not seal the victory until Knight took the inbounds pass from Tayshaun Prince, drove past Kyle Lowry and Amir Johnson and put a layup off the glass. Knight's basket wound up being the game-winner when Lowry missed a jumper with 1.7 remaining.

Greg Monroe led the Pistons with 19 points and 11 rebounds for his seventh double-double. Prince added 16, including two straight hook shots down the stretch that kept Detroit within one point.

Andrea Bargnani scored a season-high 34 points for Toronto and hit a 3-pointer that gave the Raptors an 88-85 edge with 1:21 remaining. Lowry scored 14 of his 19 points in the third but shot just 6-of-19.

The Pistons took a four-point lead into halftime, scored the first 11 of the second half and had a 65-52 edge midway through the third. Toronto stormed back with a 12-2 run and cut the deficit to 72-68 entering the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Toronto's guards had a slow start as the Raptors missed their first 13 shots before DeMar DeRozan hit a layup late in the first half. ... Raptors rookie center Jonas Valanciunas appeared to tweak his ankle in the third quarter but remained in the game and finished nine points and six rebounds. ... Detroit rookie forward Andre Drummond had 13 rebounds, including eight on the offensive end.
