Celtics 101, Bulls 95: Rajon Rondo recorded a team-high 20 points and extended his double-digit assists mark to 31 consecutive games as visiting Boston staved off Chicago.

Brandon Bass returned to the starting lineup to score 16 points and Kevin Garnett added 15 for the Celtics, who have won four of their last five.

Luol Deng shot 11-for-20 from the field for a game-high 26 points for the Bulls, who trimmed a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit down to two points at 95-93 with 49 seconds left.

Rondo, who finished with 10 assists, extended his impressive mark when he fed Bass for a dunk with 22 seconds left. The jam gave Boston a 99-93 lead.

Former Celtic Nate Robinson replaced an injured Kirk Hinrich in the starting lineup and scored 11 points for Chicago.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hinrich sat out after straining his right hip in the first half of Saturday's victory over Minnesota. ... The Bulls saw their streak of holding opponents under 100 points come to an end after 15 games. ... Boston reached the 100-point plateau at the United Center for the first time since 2009.
