Celtics 96, Bucks 92: Paul Pierce scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Kevin Garnett tallied eight of his 18 points in the final 3:17 of the fourth quarter as visiting Boston avenged last week's home loss to Milwaukee.

Jason Terry poured in 15 points, Jeff Green added 12 off the bench and Rajon Rondo recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists for the Celtics, who have won four straight visits to the Bradley Center.

Monta Ellis scored a game-high 32 points and Samuel Dalembert chipped in 14 for the Bucks, who have lost seven of eight overall meetings with Boston.

With Milwaukee leading a tightly contested game 82-81, Garnett hit a jump shot with 3:17 left remaining to give Boston the lead for good. It was Garnett's first basket since late in the first half.

After sinking another jumper, Garnett converted a layup with 1:05 to play for a 91-86 advantage. Milwaukee got within one on Marquis Daniels' jump shot with 25.3 seconds remaining, but Ersan Ilyasova turned over the ball with 8.9 seconds left, effectively ending the Bucks' comeback chances.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Pierce and Ellis had a showdown in the latter half of the fourth quarter. In a span of 84 seconds that began with 5:18 remaining, Pierce scored seven points and Ellis poured in eight as the lead changed six times. ... Rondo recorded three late assists to give him 10 and extend his streak of reaching double digits in the category to 30 consecutive games. ... Milwaukee's Larry Sanders registered a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
