SUNS 125, TRAIL BLAZERS 107: Marcin Gortat scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds to lead host Phoenix into playoff position in the Western Conference.

The victory moved the Suns into the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference with five games remaining. Phoenix and Houston are both 32-29, but the Suns are eighth based on a superior conference record.

Phoenix had six players in double figures, including Channing Frye with 19 points and Jared Dudley with 18.

Steve Nash, who has been plagued by a sore hip, had six points and 13 assists in 27 minutes for the Suns, who shot a season-high 60 percent from the field.

J.J. Hickson and Jamal Crawford scored 22 points apiece to lead Portland, which has lost five of six.

Portland's only lead came when Wes Matthews scored the first basket of the game. Phoenix' lead reached double figures late in the period.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Guard Raymond Felton, who has been playing with an Achilles injury, was out for Portland. ... Crawford returned from knee and groin injuries that sidelined him Sunday. ... The Suns played without forward Grant Hill, who rested his right knee. He had surgery on March 30 and was rusty in his return Saturday. ... Phoenix plays four of its last five games at home.
