RAPTORS 102, HAWKS 86: DeMar DeRozan poured in a team-high 23 points as Toronto prevented host Atlanta from clinching a playoff spot.

DeRozan hit eight of 15 shots from the floor to lead the Raptors (22-39) to their second straight impressive victory. Toronto fended off the Boston Celtics 84-79 on Friday night.

Alan Anderson added 16 points and James Johnson scored all 15 of his points in the fourth quarter for Toronto, which shot 55.4 percent on the night while outscoring Atlanta 46-28 in the paint.

Josh Smith led all scorers with 26 points for the Hawks (35-25), who fell into a fifth-place tie with Orlando in the Eastern Conference playoff race. The Magic defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 100-84 earlier Sunday.

Toronto limited Atlanta to 16 second-quarter points to jump out to a 53-39 edge at the break. Atlanta closed to within five on a Jeff Teague 11-footer with just under eight minutes left in the third, but six quick points from DeRozan put the brakes on the Hawks' rally and sent the Raptors into the fourth with a 73-64 edge.

Toronto put the game away early in the final frame, with Johnson hitting back-to-back layups and Ed Davis adding one of his own on the next possession.

The teams meet again Monday night in Toronto.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Anderson converted a rare four-point play after being fouled on a made 3-point attempt. It's the first time in Raptors history a player has had four-point plays in consecutive games. ... Toronto PG Jose Calderon missed the game with swelling in his right eye but may appear in Monday's rematch. ... Hawks G Joe Johnson finished with just seven points on 2-for-11 shooting.
