GRIZZLIES 103, JAZZ 98: O.J. Mayo scored 17 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as host Memphis dealt a blow to Utah's playoff hopes.

Rudy Gay had 26 points and 12 rebounds as the Grizzlies remained 1 1/2 games behind the Los Angeles Clippers for fourth place in the Western Conference.

Mike Conley and Marc Gasol scored 17 points apiece for the Grizzlies, who beat the Jazz for the first time in three meetings this season.

Devin Harris and Al Jefferson scored 20 points each for Utah, which dropped two games behind the eighth and final playoff spot in the West with five games to play.

Mayo scored 10 straight points, including back-to-back 3-pointers, to put the Grizzlies in front 82-80 with 8:07 left.

After the Jazz battled back to get within 95-94, Mayo drilled his fourth 3-pointer of the game for a 98-94 lead with 45.8 seconds to play.

Gay scored 10 points in a six-minute stretch as Memphis led by three midway through the third, but Utah responded with a 9-0 run and took a 76-70 lead into the fourth on Paul Millsap's 3-pointer at the buzzer.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Millsap and Gordon Hayward each had 17 points and Derrick Favors added 10 and 14 rebounds for the Jazz. ... Memphis has a favorable schedule upcoming, featuring six straight opponents with sub-.500 records.
