PISTONS 109, BOBCATS 85: Greg Monroe had 25 points and 11 rebounds and Brandon Knight scored 21 points as Detroit handed host Charlotte a 14th consecutive defeat.

The Pistons took the lead early in the first quarter and never relinquished control to snap a three-game losing skid and complete the four-game season-series sweep of the Bobcats.

Monroe was a force inside, dropping 15 of his game-high 25 points in the first half. The center led a 12-0 run in the second quarter to give Detroit a 52-40 lead at the half.

Knight took over in the third quarter, scoring 17 of the Pistons' 40 points in the frame to put the game away.

D.J. Augustin was the high scorer for Charlotte with 13 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Corey Maggette, the Bobcats’ leading scorer, will sit out the rest of the season due to a strained right Achilles tendon, the team announced earlier Thursday. ... Charlotte's last victory came against the Toronto Raptors on Mar. 17. ... The Bobcats' current 14-game losing streak is tied for the second-longest in club history behind the 16-game skid they endured Jan. 16-Feb. 15. ...
