RAPTORS 92, BOBCATS 87: Andrea Bargnani scored nine of his 30 points in the final 80 seconds as host Toronto downed Charlotte.

DeMar DeRozan scored 20 points and Linas Kleiza added 18 as the Raptors ended a six-game losing streak against the Bobcats.

Byron Mullens had 20 points and 14 rebounds and D.J. Augustin tallied 18 points as Charlotte’s losing skid stretched to eight.

Toronto led by eight points with less than 4 1/2 minutes to play before Charlotte went on a 11-4 surge to pull within 85-84 on a 3-pointer by Mullens with 1:02 remaining.

Bargnani then drained a straight-away 3-pointer to give Toronto a four-point edge with 47.8 seconds left. Augustin answered with a 3-pointer with 40.6 seconds remaining before Bargnani hit a short hook and sank two free throws.

Jose Calderon had 11 assists and didn’t commit a turnover for Toronto, which lost twice to the Bobcats (7-44) earlier this season.

Derrick Brown added 12 points for Charlotte.

Bargnani had 15 points and Kleiza 14 as Toronto took a 53-46 halftime lead. The Raptors shot 54.3 in the half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bargnani is averaging 25.3 points over the last four games. … The double-double was the fourth of the season for Mullens. … Calderon has 56 assists against eight turnovers over the past five games. … Bobcats forward Corey Maggette (Achilles’ tendon) missed his second consecutive contest.
