HEAT 88, PISTONS 73: Dwyane Wade scored eight of his 24 points in the fourth quarter to help visiting Miami repel a late comeback for its fourth straight victory.

LeBron James added 17 points, 10 assists and six rebounds for the Heat, who led by 26 in the third quarter and won for only the second time in their last six road games.

Chris Bosh barely missed a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds as Miami extended its winning streak over Detroit to six consecutive games.

Brandon Knight scored 18 points to lead the Pistons, who tumbled to their fourth straight defeat.

Miami held a seemingly insurmountable 70-44 advantage midway through the third, but Damien Wilkens scored seven points in a 13-2 run to close the quarter.

The Pistons then opened the fourth with an 8-2 spurt to whittle the deficit to 74-65 before Wade and Bosh combined for 10 points to push the margin to 84-67.

Miami, behind 10 points from Wade and nine from Shane Battier in the second quarter, steadily pulled away and took a 59-36 advantage into halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
James has won his last 17 meetings against Detroit as a member of the Heat and Cavaliers. ... Knight broke the team rookie record for 3-pointers held by Lindsey Hunter. He had four in the game to give him 73 for the season. ... Rodney Stuckey, Detroit's second-leading scorer, missed his second straight game with soreness in his big toe. ... C Ronny Turiaf made his debut with the Heat, scoring four points. Signed on Wednesday, it was his first game since breaking his hand in the fourth game of the season with Washington.
