Drew Gooden chipped in 14 points and 12 boards and Ersan Ilyasova added 15 and eight for the Bucks, who have won seven of their last eight to move within a half game of the New York Knicks for eighth place in the Eastern Conference.

Gerald Henderson scored 29 points on 13-of-19 shooting, but the rest of the Bobcats shot 32 percent. Charlotte’s latest losing streak is up to a mere two games.

Milwaukee shot 53 percent from the floor and took over in the second quarter, beginning the frame with a 13-4 burst to push the lead to double figures.

The Bucks were up 52-40 at the half and never looked back, extending the margin to 15 by the end of the third and coasting through the final frame.

All but one of the Milwaukee starters played less than 27 minutes as the team enjoyed an easy game on the second night of a back-to-back-to-back set.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bobcats kept it from getting out of hand by going 23 for 26 from the free throw line … The Bucks will play their third game in three nights Saturday at home against Indiana … Charlotte has dropped four of five.
