TRAIL BLAZERS 86, HORNETS 74: Nicolas Batum scored 19 points and Marcus Camby grabbed 16 rebounds as host Portland ended a three-game losing streak.

Gerald Wallace scored 13 points, Wesley Matthews added 12 and Raymond Felton had 11 points and 10 assists as the Trail Blazers defeated New Orleans for the third straight time this season.

Marco Belinelli scored 18 points, Chris Kaman had 10 points and 11 rebounds and Gustavo Ayon also scored 10 for the Hornets, who fell 20 games below .500 at 9-29.

Portland pulled away in the third quarter when New Orleans scored only 10 points.

The Trail Blazers rolled off 15 consecutive points to turn a five-point lead into a 65-45 advantage with two minutes left in the quarter. Matthews hit a late 3-pointer to make the score 70-48 entering the final period.

New Orleans shot 41.4 percent from the field and 59.1 percent from the free throw line.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Portland, which led 46-38 at halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Batum is averaging 20.2 in 10 games since moving into the starting lineup. … Hornets forward Trevor Ariza was back in the lineup after missing two games with the flu but had only four points in 32 minutes. … Camby has 14 double-figure rebounding games this season. … New Orleans center Emeka Okafor (knee) and forwards Carl Landry (knee) and Jason Smith (concussion) remain sidelined.
