MAGIC 92, RAPTORS 88: Dwight Howard dominated with 36 points and 13 rebounds for visiting Orlando.

Ryan Anderson added 19 points and 13 rebounds as the Magic won for the ninth time in 12 games.

DeMar DeRozan scored 23 points for the Raptors, who have lost 10 of 14 contests.

Howard hit 16 of 20 field goal attempts, but was only 4 of 14 from the line.

J.J. Redick scored five of his 13 points in the final 10 seconds to help Orlando hold on.

The Magic led 87-78 after Jason Richardson’s dunk with 2:58 left before Toronto scored seven straight points and cut its deficit to two points on two free throws by Jerryd Bayless.

Redick responded with a 3-pointer with 9.7 seconds left and Toronto’s Jose Calderon drained a 3-pointer with 6.3 seconds remaining to again make it a two-point game. Redick added two free throws with 5.1 seconds left to seal it.

Bayless scored 15 points, James Johnson tallied 13 and Aaron Gray had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Raptors.

Jameer Nelson scored 11 points for the Magic.

Orlando had a 74-67 lead with nine minutes left to play after Anderson scored six straight points on a 3-pointer and a three-point play.

Howard had 16 first-half points as Orlando took a 43-38 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Howard is averaging 32.3 points over the last three games. … DeRozan has scored 20 or more points in six of the last eight games. … Orlando’s Hedo Turkoglu was held scoreless but had nine assists. … The double-double was the second of the season for Gray.
