Zach Randolph had 28 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 93-81 victory over the host New Orleans Hornets on Friday.

Tony Allen scored 17 points as Memphis (43-33) moved into a tie with New Orleans for seventh place in the Western Conference playoff race.

Carl Landry paced the Hornets (43-33) with 19 points.

Memphis, which has won seven of nine games, led by 11 after one quarter and had a comfortable advantage most of the contest.

Allen’s basket gave the Grizzlies a 70-54 lead with 3:14 left in the third before New Orleans finished the quarter with a 7-1 run to pull within 10 points. Memphis was able to continue to lead by double digits for most of the final period.

Marc Gasol had 13 points and 10 rebounds, O.J. Mayo scored 13 and Mike Conley had 10 points and seven assists for Memphis.

Marco Belinelli scored 14 points and Trevor Ariza added 12 for New Orleans. Chris Paul had 13 assists but scored just five points on 2-of-8 shooting.
