Dirk Nowitzki scored 17 of his 34 points in the fourth quarter as the Dallas Mavericks surged to a 111-103 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.

Tyson Chandler added 17 points and 18 rebounds and Caron Butler finished with 15 points for the Mavericks, who have won three in a row.

Dallas trailed 90-83 after Kevin Durant scored with 7:41 left in the game. But the Mavericks tied it up less than a minute later as Nowitzki drained two quick 3-pointers, getting fouled on the second one and hitting the free throw.

They took off from there, taking the lead on Jason Terry’s 3-pointer and turning it into a 24-3 run over the next five and a half minutes.

The Thunder tried to jump back into it with 10 quick points down the stretch but the deficit had become too large.

Durant finished with 32 points and 11 rebounds for Oklahoma City, which had its five-game winning streak snapped.
