Jordan Crawford forced overtime with a jumper and scored the first four points in the extra session to finish with 25 and lead the Washington Wizards to their second road victory of the season 100-95 over the slumping Utah Jazz on Monday.
John Wall added 28 points and seven assists, and JaVale McGee collected 17 rebounds and 11 points for the Wizards (18-55), who improved to 2-35 on the road and last won away from home 115-100 at Cleveland on Feb. 13.
Washington held a nine-point lead 82-73 after Crawford’s jumper with 7:35 left. But the Jazz held the Wizards without a field goal until Crawford sank a 15-foot jumper to tie it at 85 with four seconds left.
Washington’s offense woke up in overtime and started with a 9-1 burst to take control and finished with 15 points in the five minutes - three more than it managed in the fourth quarter.
Al Jefferson recorded 16 rebounds and 15 points for Utah (36-39), which has dropped six straight.
