Dirk Nowitzki scored 25 points and Jason Terry added 21 off the bench as the Dallas Mavericks ran their winning streak to eight games with a 101-92 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday.

Jose Juan Barea chipped in 15 points and Tyson Chandler collected nine points and 15 rebounds for the Mavericks, who improved to 14-0 all time against the Bobcats.

Dallas ended the first quarter on an 11-4 burst and never trailed again, pushing the lead to 15 points early in the second and taking a 55-45 edge into the break.

Nowitzki scored eight points in the third and Jason Kidd knocked down three 3-pointers in the frame to help the Mavericks push it to 82-66 heading into the final quarter. Charlotte had one last run in it, using a 10-2 spurt to close to within 98-92 with 1:00 left.

But Terry took a pass from Nowitzki and hit a jumper with 38 seconds on the clock to end the threat.

D.J. Augustin scored 21 points for the Bobcats, who have dropped four of five.
