Channing Frye hit a long jumper at the buzzer as the Phoenix Suns outlasted the host Indiana Pacers 110-108 in overtime on Saturday afternoon.

Frye went from goat to hero for the Suns (30-27), who have won three straight and seven of their last nine. Grant Hill led the way with a season-high 34 points for Phoenix while Marcin Gortat added 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Danny Granger poured in a team-high 25 points for the Pacers (26-32), who have lost four of six.

The Suns controlled play for most of the game but fell apart late, squandering a six-point advantage in the final five minutes and needing a Hill 3-pointer with 44 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime.

Frye had five points, including a long 3-pointer, during a 7-0 Phoenix run to open the extra session. The Pacers responded, tying the score when Josh McRoberts converted a three-point play – on a foul by Frye – with 23 seconds left, setting the stage for the thrilling finish.

Hill's 34-point performance was his best since erupting for 39 against the Orlando Magic on Feb. 27, 2005.
