Channing Frye scored 29 points - one shy of his career high - and drained five 3-pointers as the Phoenix Suns began an extended stretch at home with a 105-97 victory over the road-weary Indiana Pacers on Friday.
Jason Richardson added 21 for his sixth straight 20-point outing and Steve Nash added 11 assists against just one turnover for the Suns, who completed a span of six of eight games on the road with a win against Golden State on Thursday.
Phoenix, which has won two straight, had lost five of seven prior. The Suns play five of the next seven at home.
Indiana held a 76-74 lead entering the fourth, but Frye went to work with a trio of 3-pointers, the last one providing Phoenix a 90-88 lead with 5:39 left. Ninety seconds later, Frye blocked a driving layup attempt by Mike Dunleavy and Richardson converted a 3-pointer from the left wing for a six-point edge.
Brandon Rush scored 21 points as the Pacers closed a four-game road trip at 2-2, including a win against the defending-champion Los Angeles Lakers.
Danny Granger, who entered averaging 22.2 points, had eight points on 2-of-13 shooting and center Roy Hibbert was limited to 18 minutes and eight points because of foul trouble.
Rush knocked down three 3-pointers and scored 11 of his 16 first-half points in the final 5:41 of the second quarter as the Pacers sank 8-of-12 shots from the arc and led 59-52 at the half despite 13 turnovers.
